On the 15th of October we hand-harvested the ripe grapes from our vineyard in Hegyszentmárton after a beautiful autumn, when the weather was favourable for ripening and we were able to leave the healthy bunches out for a long time. The raw material arrived in the cellar with an ideal must weight of 22 degrees, perfect for a serious red wine. The must fermented for 3.5 weeks at a temperature of 25-27 degrees, then after spontaneous malolactic fermentation it was aged for 18 months in 225 and 500 litre barrels. The result is a full-bodied wine with great depth.
