Mészáros Szekszárdi Kékfrankos, 2019

Kékfrankos is a native variety in the Carpathian Basin with all the qualities needed to become a globally recognised wine. The healthy, ripe grapes come from the hills surrounding the city of Szekszárd and are picked from low-yielding vines (approximately 1.5 kg per vine) thanks to green harvesting. The grapes are gently processed, meaning the mesh is slightly macerated. As a result, astringent tannins are not extracted and the wine is velvety and easy to drink. It is subsequently aged in oak barrels. This Kékfrankos showcases the unique flavours and fragrances of its terroir.
