Günzer Tamás Winery Grandior, 2020

Grandior Merlot is the flagship of the winery. This is Günzer Tamás’s most prestigious wine, produced only in exceptional vintages.

It is produced using a special technique called ‘drying on vine’. When the grapes have reached the necessary degree of ripeness, the fruit-bearing cane is cut at the point where it would normally be pruned in winter, and the grapes are left to dry on the vine. This method makes it possible to obtain a more concentrated wine with a higher extract.

After the harvest and fermentation, the wine is aged in 225 l barrels for 2 years.
